Futuretron of Dinosaur Island - 45,000 years in the 'Anti-Future' Africa crashed into the corporate ghetto icefloor. One human got all the information inside his mind everyday and would go back to the cave to adorn the walls with all that was learned. Today the cave has see-through walls, infinity dimensions, a sensible sunroof* and is really pumped about sales!!! Welcome.

TRON LEGACY Official Trailer 2
3/10/2010 2:34:46 PM
Just got a 2 minute dose of lycra clad video game banging electronic music goodness via the second Tron Legacy official trailer.  The second trailer teasers you with a bit more of the film and a bigger taste of the magic Daft Punk have pumped into this Disney production. Now I'm just bummed we have to wait till December to finally see and hear it all.

OK Go - This Too Shall Pass
3/3/2010 11:20:53 AM
OK Go's treadmill video for Here it Goes Again was awesome. In the same vein of awesomeness OK Go have just dropped their new video for This Too Shall Pass. As front man Damian Kulash puts it, the band got the help from an army of geek-monster- engineers capable of building rocket ships to bring 'Donkey Kong to life' in a 'celebration of actual root level physics... screw computers'.  The guys did a cracker job in building a next level fun machine.

... and check the video being made in this series.

Homemade flying hovercraft
3/2/2010 2:46:51 PM
Every so often someone throws a blog up here with a vehicle that not only fullfills almost every child hood dream but is also priced within in a slightly atainable realm. Rudy Heeman's flying hovercraft from New Zealand is one such machine. Cheaper than a Holden Barina with no license needed... Nice.

Die Antwoord Zef Side
2/8/2010 10:55:30 AM
So apparently these guys are kind of serious about their music and that these clips are just some promo and are a bit of a piss take? . Apparently their live shows are making it big in some parts of Europe. All I know is I want to see more....

Thanks Nate and Bosco @ the serps

Yin to the Yang!

WESC - Mulholland Drive
2/4/2010 9:55:44 AM
Even though WeSC's Australian life may have ended, or rather the distributors here went under owing lots of people lots of money (yeah I'm bitter) the WeSC crew in Sweden, the USA and most other parts of the street fashion world are doing a ripper job of keeping the party going. And why wouldn't you? When Ray Barbee, Jason Lee, Alex Prager, Sage Vaughn and Steve Berra turn up to party you know your in for good times.

Check this party clip from the photo shoot for Mulholland Drive - the new 2010 collection. Also, peep the Medicom Toy x WESC collaboration. Yeah!

Royals - Super fun time graffiti
2/3/2010 11:37:08 AM
Royals crew from Spain have so much fun doing Graffiti! Its refreshing to see a crew actually enjoying painting trains and making videos this much. Dressing up and acting out skits next to a train you've just painted? All set to a spanish backdrop? Killer.

Royals crew - " Subway is a religion here".

Royals have a section in the next Tsunami movie available in May this year.

Royals smashing out a quick backjump on the Valencia Subway. Check the teamwork and the soundtrack!

Aussie Hip Hop this week
10/30/2009 9:34:23 AM
Its been the week for highlighting Australia's aspiring Hip Hop superstars. The internets newest phenom Bangs  ( bag raiders remix out on Modular?) and the arguably less skilled Rae have put the spotlight on Melbourne city. So I thought it only fair that someone put forward a little bit of Sydney talent.

I saw this 2.L.O.C.O clip on The Serps blog a year ago. The mad rhymes and even specialer special effects pretty much flawed me. After asking round, I found out 2.L.O.C.O has been in the Sydney scene for a while. Will Sydney old blood step to Melbourne's new money???

The prospect of new generation of Aussie elite throwing down at next years Mc Battle must have JJJ and Nova frothing. Yeeah..

Rocksteady - The Roots of Reggae
10/29/2009 9:36:42 AM
The Tiger Distribution blog is always worth a look.  The guys are absolute rulers and they distribute some of the raddest street wear brands in the world so you know they're always going to find some cool shit.

A while back I read a post about one of their local WeActivists who came in to the Tiger office and hit them up for a bunch of WeSC headphones to take to Jamaca for a documentary on Reggae he was involved in. After initially calling bullshit on his claim, it checked out to be legit. Actually more than legit, this documentary looks amazing.

Rocksteady : the Roots of Reggae takes you to the reggae birthplace and through the early days of the movement as told by the originators. Visually stunning with tunes to match. Hopefully this one pops up at a festival in Australia sometime soon...

MC Bangs – West Side's finest
10/27/2009 11:38:45 AM
Bangs is tiiight. These ring tone beats are not easily forgotten. Basically, this could be the best thing I've ever seen. Words cannot explain.  It would be a crime not to share this.. but while checking his blog be sure to click the link to the Sudanese refugee articles. My bet is that Bangs probably comes from a background that would make a lot of other rappers whimper and cry. Thanks Toby. For more Bangs check Toblers article here.

US Army - The biggest graffiti cleaners in the world
10/13/2009 11:50:03 AM
After a bunch or guys form MTA crew got busted recently. Los Angeles councillors and the US Army Corps decided to spend $4 Million of the US government stimulus to get out there and remove what they call the worlds biggest graffiti tag. They're doing this to, wait for it... do their bit for climate change? This video is bizarre and seems more reminiscent of an out take from a graffiti vid with a bunch of writers hopped up on testosterone and fumes than responsible lawmakers...

County, City and Army Gang Up on "MTA" Tag from blogdowntown on Vimeo.
